This Privacy Policy explains what information the How2.ie AI Marketing Studio (the "Service", at https://how2.ie/social_media_automation) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The Service is operated by How2.ie ("we", "us").

1. Information we collect

• Account details: company name, contact name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
• Content you create: campaign text, scripts, voiceover audio, and generated videos, stored so you can access them again.
• TikTok connection data (optional): if you connect TikTok, we store the access tokens TikTok issues, your TikTok display name, and identifiers needed to send videos to your account. We never receive or store your TikTok password.

2. How we use your information

• To operate the Service: generating campaigns, voiceovers, and videos you request.
• To send videos to your own TikTok inbox, only when you explicitly click "Send to TikTok". The Service never posts automatically.
• To secure accounts and enforce fair-use limits.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your data for advertising.

3. TikTok data

• TikTok login uses TikTok's official authorisation flow with the minimum permissions: basic profile information (to show which account is connected) and video upload (to deliver your drafts).
• TikTok tokens are used solely to deliver your videos to your own account.
• Disconnecting TikTok inside the Service revokes and deletes the stored tokens. You can also revoke access from your TikTok app settings at any time.

4. Third-party services

• AI text generation and voiceovers: the campaign text you request is processed by an AI provider to generate content and audio.
• Stock footage: video backgrounds are retrieved from a licensed stock-footage provider based on your campaign topic.
• TikTok: when you send a video, it is transmitted to TikTok's Content Posting API. TikTok's own privacy policy applies to data they hold.

5. Storage and retention

• Your data is stored on our hosting server in Europe.
• Generated audio and video files are kept for a limited retention period and then removed automatically; storage quotas apply per account.
• You can delete your content at any time from within the Service.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent for optional features such as the TikTok connection. To exercise these rights, contact us via how2.ie. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission.

7. Security

Passwords are stored using strong one-way hashing. Access tokens are stored server-side and are never exposed to other users. The Service is served over HTTPS.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update this page and the date shown above.
